Ceratitis cosyra (Walker) - (mango fruit fly)

This fruit fly is widespread in sub-Saharan, where it infests mangoes and a variety of other fruits. Mango and marula fruits (Sclerocarya birrea) are preferred. It is also called "marula fruit fly".
