Carpomya incompleta (Becker, 1903) - (zizyphus fruit fly)
This fruit fly infests jujube fruits (Ziziphus spp.) and during outbreaks more than half of the fruits may be affected. The egg are laid on the ripening fruits and the emerging larvae bore into the fruits, where they pass through 3 instars. The mature 3rd instar larvae drop to the ground for pupation.
C. incompleta is found in northern Africa (including Ethiopia), parts of the Near East and parts of southern Europe.
