Mucin as an agent promoting infection by Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Schroeter) Migula in grasshoppers

Abstract: Experimental infection of Melanoplus bivittatus by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was promoted by the use of mucin. Its action was not determined but it did not appear to speed death in the grasshoppers.
