Cactodera cacti (Filipjev & Schuurmans Stekhoven, 1941)
This cyst nematode is widely distributed and feeds on the roots of different plants from the family Cactaceae. It has been mainly recorded from greenhouses and is frequently transported to other countries with the trade of ornamental plants. The infested plants are stunted, change colour and high nematode populations can lead to the death of the plants.
