Brevibacillus laterosporus (Laubach 1916) Shida et al. 1996 (against pests)
The bacterium is a pathogen of various invertebrates, including Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Diptera, nematodes and molluscs. It produces a number of toxins with antimicrobial properties. The sporangia of this species form a unique canoe-shaped lamellar body next to the spore. Its function is unknown.
