Distribution of Pythium arrhenomanes in rice-growing soils of southern New South Wales
Australasian Plant Pathology 21 (2), 79-82
Abstract: Using a soil-baiting technique with rice seedlings, P. arrhenomanes was detected in 47% of rice soils sampled from across the Riverine Plain, New South Wales, Australia. Sites positive for the fungus were widely distributed with a greater percentage of sites occurring on heavier soils. The fungus was isolated from 44% of soils sampled from pasture and from 48% of rice-stubble sites.
