Asphondylia gennadii (Marchal, 1904) (carob gall midge, chilli gall midge)
In the Mediterranean region, this gall midge infests carob trees (Ceratonia siliqua) during the winter and various other plants like green pepper (Capsicum) or caper (Capparis) during the summer.
