Aprostocetus (parasitoids) Westwood, 1833
This wasp genus has a world-wide distribution and more than 500 species. They are parasitoids, sometimes also hyperparasitoids, of various insect groups. These include flies, mealybugs, soft scales, beetles or cockroaches. The species have been described as ecto or endoparasitoids of various insect stages from eggs to pupae. Several are important natural enemies of pest insects and some have been produced commercially.
