Apomyelois Heinrich, 1956
The genus contains small pyralid moths, several of which are considered pests of fruit trees. Economically the most important species is the carob moth, Apomyelois ceratoniae, which is widely distributed and can also be a problem in fruit storage.
Ectomyelois is regarded as a synonym of Apomyelois by many authors.
