Forecasting of outbreaks of Spodoptera exempta Wik. (Lep., Noctuidae) based on sex-pheromone trapping in the republic of Yemen
Anzeiger für Schädlingskunde, Pflanzenschutz, Umweltschutz 64 (5), 93-96
Abstract: Spodoptera exempta (Wlk.) is recorded every year in the Republic of Yemen. Based on the use of pheromone traps, a very simple but effective monitoring and forecasting system was developed. Areas from which infestations have been reported and the frequency of attacks are mapped in detail. The monthly distributions and frequencies of incidence are presented in two tables. The range of recorded S. exempta moths is illustrated and the number of outbreaks for the last 32 years described.
