Zur Pathologie einer Cytoplasmapolyedrose bei der Nonne (Lymantria monacha L.) in Abhängigkeit von der Nahrungspflanze
[The influence of food plants on the pathology of a cytoplasmic-polyhedrosis virus (CPV) of the nun moth (L. monacha)]
Anzeiger für Schädlingskunde, Pflanzenschutz, Umweltschutz 63 (1), 8-10
Abstract: The virulence of a cytoplasmic-polyhedrosis virus (CPV) to the nun moth (L. monacha) depended on different food plants. Virus infected larvae fed with pine needles showed very serious symptoms like high mortality, delay of development and characteristic deformations of the pupae.
The reactions of infected larvae were much lower on spruce. The lowest susceptibility could be observed, when larvae were reared on larch needles.
