Abstract: This review includes references to Melanoplus differentialis with respect to embryonic diapause, the effect of carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide on the respiration of diapausing eggs, and the effect of injury to diapausing embryos on their subsequent development. A total of 131 references is given.
