Abstract: The biology and life cycle of Sarcophaga falciformis (Diptera), a parasite of adults of Melanoplus devastator and Oedaleonotus enigma in California, are described. S. falciformis almost completely destroyed one looalized, heavy population of M. devastator under observation.
