Anguina pacificae Cid del Prado Vera & Maggenti, 1984 - (Pacific shoot-gall nematode)

This nematode forms stem galls on bluegrass, Poa annua. It has been originally described from coastal areas in western North America (Cid del Prado Vera & Maggenti, 1984) where it has developed into a serious problem for gulf courses (e.g. see McClure et al., 2008). During 2013, it has been also reported from a golf course in Ireland.
