Anagrus Haliday, 1833
This genus of minute egg parasitoids is widely distributed. The members attack the eggs of leaf- and plant hoppers. Several species are important biological control agents of pest species, for example Anagrus nilaparvatae or A. atomus. Some are commercially produced.
The genus is characterized by the structure of their antennae, thorax, wings and tarsi (4-segmented). The antennae have 13 segments in females and 9 in males. Fore- and hindwings are both narrow and of similar lengths. The average length of the adult has been given as 0.8 mm.
