Amphimallon solstitiale (Linnaeus, 1758) - (summer chafer)

This cockchafer-like beetle is common in Europe. The larvae mainly attack the roots of grasses and can reach pest status. The adult beetle is 14-18 mm long, brown, with 3 raised rips on each elytron.
