Amitermes evuncifer (Silvestri, 1912)

This termite is widely distributed in Africa and attacks various crops like groundnuts, yams or the roots of trees. It can prevent the establishment of tree plantations like teak or eucalypt. The mounds are up to 2 m high and may be shared with other termite species.
