Aleurocanthus Quaintance & Baker, 1914

The genus contains about 80 species of whiteflies, including several plant pests. The species can be recognized by the dorsal glandular spines in the nymphal stages, also by the exuvium often remaining on the back of the nymph after it has molted to the next instar. These exuvia can be accumulated over several instars. The puparium is usually dark.
