Acrida 7, 1-10
Abstract: The progress of embryonic development in eggs of the Australian Plague Locust, Chortoicetes terminifera (Walk.), is described and classified according to a generalized scheme of development proposed by Chapman and Whitham (1968). The time required to reach a given stage of development, when expressed as a percentage of the total incubation time, is shown to be independent of temperature, and similar to that recorded in other species of Acridoidea.
