Strategien zur Befallsreduzierung der Rosskastanien-Miniermotte im öffentlichen Grün
[Strategies for reducing infestations by the horse chestnut leafminer in public green]
Nachrichtenblatt des Deutschen Pflanzenschutzdienstes 55 (10), 201-204
Abstract: The horse chestnut leafminer (Cameraria ohridella Deschka and Dimic) has established itself throughout Germany. The public is increasingly alarmed by the leaf miners' massive colonisation of chestnut trees, causing a premature leaf fall. Larger cities, such as Berlin and Hamburg, have initiated special programs in order to develop sustainable control strategies against the horse chestnut leafminer. Within this symposium the status quo of research and experiences relating to biology and control of C. ohridella were presented and discussed.
