Luteovirus phaseoli
Assigned virus:
• bean leafroll virus (BLRV)
The bean leafroll virus is widely distributed and infects various legumes. Symptoms include chlorosis, mottling, leaf rolling and stunting. It is phloem limited and usually present at a very low concentration in the infected plants. The virus can be transmitted by the pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum) in a persistent manner.
The 'pea leafroll virus' is regarded as a synonym of BLRV.
