Population structure and variability of larvae in Tortrix viridana and Aleimma loeflingiana [Lepidoptera, Tortricidae]
Entomological Review 84 (5), 507-513
Abstract: The study of the structure of natural populations of Tortrix viridana and Aleimma loeflingiana revealed a complicated hierarchy in intrapopulation groups of T. viridana and absence of such a hierarchy in A. loeflingiana. This fact may be important for the coexistence and evolution of these closely related species. The results of the component analysis of morphometric characteristics has demonstrated that this method is inadequate for an analysis of the groups distinguished. However, the component analysis revealed the main regularities in the variability of characters in roller moth larvae.
