Zabrotes Horn, 1885
This genus of small bruchid beetles contains around 20 species. Several are pests of stored legumes and the most important species is the Mexican bean weevil, Zabrotes subfasciatus. The adults are mostly black and usually 1-3 mm long. The genus is characterized, among others, by a deep emargination of the eye.
