Meloidogyne hispanica Hirschmann, 1986 - (Seville root-knot nematode)

This nematode is widely distributed and infests fruit trees, vegetables and various other crops. It was first discovered in Spain on peach roots. Management involves pesticides, crop rotation or resistant cultivars. It is similar to Meloidogyne ethiopica.
