Thripinema nicklewoodi (entomopathogen) (Siddiqi, 1964)
This nematode infects the western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis, in North America. Other thrips species like Thrips tabaci can become infected experimentally. Infected thrips are less active in feeding and reproduction. The nematode has been reared and experimentally released into greehouses infested with F. occidentalis. It can suppress thrips populations.
