Anisopteromalus calandrae (parasitoid) (Howard, 1881)

The wasp is an idiobiont ectoparasitoid of various storage pests and commercially available. It is, for example, effective against weevils of the genus Sitophilus and can achieve suppression rates of up to 95%. Females parasitise late-instar larvae and deposit one egg per host. It also feeds on the hemolymph of the larvae.
