Phthorimaea operculella (Zeller) (potato tuber moth)
A serious pest of growing and stored potatoes, tomatoes and other crops in warmer regions; the larvae mine the foliage and bore into potato tubers and tomato fruits; can be introduced into temperate regions and become a storage pest under warm conditions.
