Propylea japonica (predator) (Thunberg)
The beetle is found in eastern Asia where it is an important predator of insect pests, feeding on aphids, whiteflies, scales and small caterpillars. It can go through 4-8 generations per year and tolerate a range of temperatures without going into a dormant state.
