Cylas formicarius (Fabricius) - sweet potato weevil
attacks the tubers and stems of sweet potato and is usually considered the most important pest of sweet potatoes (including stored tubers) where this crop is grown. The weevil is 5-6 mm long, ant-like in shape, with blue head and elytra and red thorax and legs.
