Scolothrips longicornis (predator) Priesner 1926
is found on field crops in warmer parts of western Asia and North America and is used for the biological control of spider mites in green houses. It consumes all spider mite stages, but prefers the eggs. The thrips is yellow without grey markings. The life cycle is around 1½ to 3 weeks, depending on the temperature.
