Bothynoderes Schoenherr, 1823
This genus of weevils includes around 30-40 species which are mainly found in temperate parts of Europe and Asia. Some are regarded as agricultural pests like the sugar beet weevil, Bothynoderes punctiventris, which attacks sugar beet seedlings as adults and beet roots as larvae.
Type species: Bothynoderes affinis (assigned as Curculio albidus)
