Abstract: Water potential of Fraser fir infested with the balsam woolly adelgid, Adelges piceae (Ratzeburg), and uninfested controls was evaluated using a Scholander pressure chamber. Field measurements were taken at three locations (Mt. Rogers, VA.; Roan Mountain, Tenn.; and Mt. Mitchell, N.C.) during the 1984 growing season. June measurements at Roan Mountain and Mt.
