Dasineura oleae (F. Löw, 1885) - (olive leaf midge)
This gall midge is found in the Mediterranean region and causes galls on olive leaves. The induced galls are elongated, about 3-5 mm long. Infestations are typically minor, but outbreaks have been reported, leading to defoliation and yield losses (Tondini & Petacchi, 2019).
