Revision as of 20:53, 22 November 2017

Since January 2017 I work full-time at the Unit for risk assessment of alien plant pests at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences https://www.slu.se/en/cv/niklas-bjorklund/.

My previous research focused on how forest insects respond to their environment and how knowledge about insect behaviours can be used to deal with insect pests. I have mainly been working with two species of tree-killing bark beetles (Dendroctonus ponderosae and Ips typographus), and two weevil species that cause damage to conifer seedlings (Hylobius abietis) and young conifer trees (Hylobius warreni).
