Stenoma impressella (Busck, 1914)
This moth is an oil palm pest in tropical parts of northern South - and in Central America. The larvae can defoliate the palms. However, it is polyphagous and can also infest other crops like citrus, coffee or guava.
The wingspan of the adult moth is 21–25 mm. The forewings are light reddish brown with a violet tinge. There is a darker area at the base of the forewing and a darker oblique line across the wing at the end of the first third.
