Heliococcus Šulc, 1912

This genus of mealybugs includes around 60 species, that are found mainly on broad-leaved trees and grasses. Several of them are considered agricultural pests like Heliococcus bohemicus which infests grapevine in Europe. The species have 9-segmented antennae, are usually ovoviviparous (the eggs hatch within the female), and lack and ovisac.
