Hebata vitis (Goethe, 1875) - (vine leafhopper)
The leafhopper is common in Europe and Asia and infests various crops like grapevine, tea, hop, cotton and potato. On tea, the feeding activities result in curling and necrotic spots on the young leaves and a reduced tea quality. The adult hoppers are green to yellowish with a blue-green longitudinal patch on the forewing.
