Zeugodacus tau (Walker, 1849) - (pumpkin fruit fly)
This fruit fly is found in many tropical and subtropical parts of Asia and the Pacific. It is regarded as an important quarantine pest in various other regions. Z. tau appears to prefer cucurbits, but has also been recorded from other crops like tomatoes (Boopathi et al., 2017) or fruit trees.
