Xanthomonas gardneri (ex Sutic 1957) Jones et al. 2006, nom. rev.

This bacterium is one of several species causing bacterial spot on tomatoes and pepper. It produces similar symptoms compared to Xanthomonas vesicatoria and Xanthomonas euvesicatoria and can be the most common causal agent of tomato bacterial spot in some areas (e.g. South America).
