Waitea circinata Warcup & P.H.B. Talbot 1962

The fungus causes causes leaf spot on various crops. It is common on cereals and grasses, causing diseases like ear rot on maize, brown ring patch on turfgrass as well as root rot and sheath blight diseases of cereals.

The taxonomic position of the genus Waitea is still uncertain. It is placed here together with the genus Rhizoctonia under the Cantharellales.
