Tripteroides bambusa Yamada, 1917 - (bamboo mosquito)
This mosquito is common in bamboo stumps and tree holes in Asia. It is not recognised as transmitting human diseases, but is of quarantine concern, having been found in shipments of used tires imported from Asia.
