Trichapion godmani (Wagner, 1912) - (bean pod weevil)

This weevil is a pest of beans in Central America. The females lay one egg each into the young seeds where the larvae develop. Up to 10-20% of the seeds may be damaged. The adults are 2-3 mm long.
