Stagonosporopsis lupini (Boerema & R. Schneid.) Boerema, Gruyter & P. Graaf, 1999
This fungus infects lupins and has been reported from Europe, South America and Australia. In Australia it has been described (under the snynonym name Phoma schneiderae) as causing an outbreak on Lupinus albus, affecting ~25% of the plants in one area. The symptoms included leaf scorch, root rot, chlorosis and stunting, with black lesions on the roots and light-brown lesions on the leaves (Bretag et al., 2006).
