Sclerotium delphinii Welch

This fungus is soil-borne and wide-spread. It infects a large variety of plants, often in patches. The symptoms include rotting of the roots and basal stems, wilting and frequently plant death. Sclerotia are small, reddish-brown, spherical and on average 2 mm in diameter.
