Rumina decollata (predator) (Linnaeus, 1758) - (decollate snail)
This species is a predatory snail native to Europe. It has been introduced into several other countries for the biological control of pest snails. For example, it is commercially available in the U.S. and used against invasive garden snails like Cornu aspersum. The shell can be up to 4 cm long. In mature snails the tip of the shell usually breaks off.
