Pueraria (weeds) DC. - (kudzu)

This genus of climbing leguminous vines contains around 20 species that are native to Asia. Some species are used as medicinal herbs, food, forage or are grown as cover crop. However, two species have been introduced into the Americas and have become invasive weeds. Especially, Pueraria montana var. lobata is an important weed in some parts of North America, where it overgrows other vegetation.
