Mycosphaerella dearnessii occurs in Slovenia
Plant Pathology 59 (4), 808-808
Abstract: During 2008 and 2009, Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) and stone pine (P. mugo) trees growing in Slovenia were observed with symptoms of dead or blighted one-year-old needles. The fungus Mycosphaerella dearnessii was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
