Diplodia pinea is a new pathogen on Austrian pine (Pinus nigra) in Estonia
Plant Pathology 58 (4), 797-797
Abstract: During 2007, Austrian pine (Pinus nigra) cones found in Estonia were surveyed for the fungus Diplodia pinea (syn. Sphaeropsis sapinea). The identification was based on morphological characteristics and ITS sequence analysis. The spread of the pathogen through Estonia during 2007 and 2008 was documented.
