Abstract: A rust fungus was observed on the leaves and fruits of Alnus orientalis var. orientalis (Fagaceae) in Antalya province, Turkey. The symptoms observed on infected leaves and the spore morphology accuratley matches those for Melampsoridium hiratsukanum.
