First report of mixed infection of Cassava brown streak virus and Ugandan cassava brown streak virus on cassava in north-eastern Democratic Republic of Congo
Plant Disease 103 (1), 166-166
Abstract: During 2016, cassava plants grown in eastern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo were surveyed for the presence of the cassava brown streak disease. Of 360 leaf samples collected from 36 fields, 108 tested positive for cassava brown streak viruses. Using PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing showed that 55% of the samples contained mixures of Cassava brown streak and Ugandan cassava brown streak viruses.
